Deep Dive: Child Care Assistance Policy

 

The purpose of this session is to offer participants a deep dive that uses three core areas in child care assistance—continued eligibility and enrollment in the child care assistance program for parents and their children; parent access including the role of co-pays in facilitating or limiting family use; and alternatives to traditional rate setting-- to explore the opportunities and challenges presented by the federal law and its implementing regulations; how child care assistance can be part of the quality agenda in every setting; common approaches as well as innovative practices in these areas; and the various policy goals and considerations that inform varying approaches to child care assistance.
