The “Kick-off” or initial webinar in the series, provides a rationale, and demonstrates the need for alignment of early childhood and child welfare systems. Given that approximately 40% of all children entering foster care are ages 5 and under, addressing the needs of these children and their families is necessary if child welfare systems are going to move toward achieving better outcomes for children and families.
