In its report, Transforming the Financing of Early Care and Education (2018), the committee concludes that transforming the fi nancing structure for ECE to meet the needs of all children and families will require greater coordination among fi nancing mechanisms, as well as signifi cant mobilization of fi nancing and other resources across the public and private sectors. The report offers specifi c recommendations for making ECE provided outside the home more affordable for families, linking funding to high-quality standards, and fi nancing the transformation of the ECE workforce.
