Kent County launched a comprehensive community engagement process in late May to allow residents an opportunity to help identify spending priorities for a portion of the funding we received through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Kent County was awarded more than $127 million in ARPA funding. These funds provide us a rare opportunity to make strategic long-term investments, both within the County organization and throughout our county as a region.
The American Rescue Plan Act is the federal plan to help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Battle Creek is set to receive a total of $30.5 million, half in 2021, and half in 2022.
In this webinar we heard from a few national early childhood technical assistance leaders about how we view the opportunity of the PDG B-5 funding and the resources and supports available to state leaders who might want support during the application process.
